A Basic Third-person Present-warfare Shooter
Commando Gun Shoot Strike War drops you into various present-day locations where you shoot enemy troops and occasionally shoot at armored vehicles. The aim is to take out as many enemies as you can while you make your way to the helicopter that picks you up and ends the level.
Fight your way through scores of positioned enemies
Commando Gun Shoot Strike War is a third-person shooter where you explore small maps and pick off enemies that are either stationed in a certain position, or they have repeating patrols that they follow. This allows you to run up and shoot enemies at your own pace. The stealth mechanic doesn't work other than how you may stand behind a wall or building to stop the enemy seeing you, but they will spot you instantly whenever you move out from behind cover. You have a radar so that you may see where enemies are before you run in and shoot them.
By-the-numbers bland
Commando Gun Shoot Strike War feels like a very rushed game. It has the same mechanics and layouts as its predecessors. It is almost like the developers started making extra levels for one of their more popular titles, and then made a whole new game out of them instead. As a result, this is a by-the-numbers game with nothing original or exciting within. It is one in a long line of third-person shooters for people who want disposable shooting action. On the plus side, most games of this nature are full of nasty greens and browns, but the developers of this game have turned up the saturation levels so that the colors appear very bright and vibrant.
